Department of Water Engineering at University of
Jiroft started its academic activities in 2019 with 4 following faculty members
to provide students with broad-based engineering skills necessary to solve
water engineering problems. Programs of undergraduate studies offer a series of
basic and applied courses in the area of irrigation and drainage systems
design, soil and water conservation, geology, groundwaters, fluid mechanics,
hydraulics, hydrology, soil-water-plant relationship, agricultural meteorology,
and so on. The graduated students will be able to design, establishment,
maintenance and the administration of different water instillations such as
dams, weirs, river structures, developing modern irrigation systems and
management of water resources as well study the environmental impacts of the
water engineering projects.
